Kapital is undoubtedly one of our most unique brands, as well as one of our favorites. From their iconic Ring Coats and Century Denim to the scarves and bandannas we love so much, to their patchwork and Kountry pieces, and everything else they make, Kapital is a brand that has earned their reputation of style, brilliance, and just a hint of madness.
The Goeblein Jerkin Vest is this wonderful combination of antique and modern elements. The outer tapestry fabric and cupro lining read as a traditional waistcoat, but the two slash pockets and drawcord at the hem bring it into the Gorp tent if you will.
As the name implies, the vest is made from Gobelin fabric, a term that is derived from the name of a historic French tapestry factory. This Gobelin fabric is typical of the style in large floral motif achieved with a Jacquard loom. The lining of the lining is made from cupro, a cellulose fabric made from cotton linter to achieve a silky finish. In this case a simple green diamond pattern.
The vest is made with a folded back that give it a real volume that can be adjusted with the drawcords on both sides. A five button front and two slash pockets round out the design.
Sized large for a generous fit. Dry clean sparingly.
