From Victorian era curiosities to early 20th century equestrian and motorcycle wear to rare WW2 era items - Black Sign garments are beautifully constructed, with a shared identity and aesthetic cohesion running through the collection to a degree we rarely see in brands focusing on reproductions & recreations.
Inspired by a photograph Black Sign saw of someone wearing a vest like this, the Oiled Quilting Atelier Vest is a very unique garment, with an asymmetrical fastening, a-line silhouette, two external pockets, and a very functional fabric combo. It fastens closed with tonal snaps on the left shoulder and down the left side of the torso, fitting securely while snapped up without making it more difficult to take it on or off.
The outer body is made from a 100% cotton padded and waxed ripstop fabric from British Millerain, a world-renowned manufactured of oiled and waxed fabrics. Lightweight and water resistant, it's packing impressive tensile strength and durability given its thickness, insulating well thanks to the quilted body. Inside, it's lined with Solar Sensor L, a polyester fabric with antistatic and thermoregulatory properties that help keep you even more comfortable when you've got this thing on.
Fits true to size. Dry clean only.
